Plants are a lasting alternative. A white orchid plant, a peace lily, or a potted arrangement lasts far longer than cut flowers and serves as a living reminder of your support. Many families appreciate plants because they can be moved to a garden or kept as a lasting memorial.

Timing matters. Sending flowers within the first few days of a loss is most meaningful. If you miss that window, a thoughtful arrangement sent a week or two later — when the initial wave of support has passed — can be just as appreciated. Grief doesn't follow a schedule.
